TALKS ON CZECH-SLOVAK LEAGUE MERGER
Officials from the Czech and Slovak football associations are discussing the possibility of merging the two countries’ league competitions again.

Returning today (Friday) from talks in Slovakia, CMFS (Czech football association) Deputy Chairman Miroslav Kriz told the CTK news agency that the project is in its earliest stages and that the CMFS and SFZ (Slovak football association) are currently trying to judge whether or not a joint league is feasible.

Former CMFS General Secretary and current UEFA futsal official Petr Fousek warned in today’s edition of Sport that UEFA have blocked all previous attempts to form international leagues, however, including a Dutch/Belgian merger and Scottish giants Rangers’ and Celtic’s attempts to join the English Premier League.

Following 1993’s “Velvet Divorce”, the original Czechoslovak league split into separate Czech and Slovak leagues for the 1993/94 season, having come into existence in 1925.

Bien que cela soit peut probable,le fait qu'il y'ai des discussions a ce sujet merite d'etre dit.

Ca pourrait etre pas mal mais ça risque d'etre chaud entre les ultras la plupart sont de tendance nationalistes non ? Et puis a mon avis a part l'Inter, le Slovan et l'Artmedia il n'y aura que des clubs de République Tchèque ...

Les ultras,surtout les plus "extremistes" (ce qui represente une minorité,par exemple une centaine de personnes pour un club comme le Sparta) risquent en effet de voir ces matchs comme des mini derbys,a haute tension.
Pas dit. Oui le championat tchèque est superieur au slovaque mais a mon avis pas au point de rouver que trois clubs slovaques sur une ligue qui comportera entre 16 et 20 clubs,si elle existe bien sur. Assez dur de comparer les niveaux,surtout pour les clubs de milieux et fin de tableau.

Der tschechische und der slowakische Fußballverband erwarten sich von einer gemeinsamen Liga nicht nur eine höhere sportliche Qualität, sondern auch Marketing-Chancen. Sie wollen deshalb «so bald als möglich», möglicherweise schon ab Herbst 2012 mit der gemeinsamen Liga beginnen. Zwölf tschechische und sechs slowakische Mannschaften sollten nach bisherigen Plänen die erste Saison eröffnen.

Frantisek Laurinec (SLO) a parlé avec plusieurs fonctionnaires de l'UEFA qui ne sont pas opposés au projet. De même Ivan Hasek (TCH) citait Platini comme quoi ce dernier restait attentif à ce qui pourrait augmenter le niveau sportif des ligues. Les fédérations tchèque et slovaque souhaitent démarrer au plutôt (2012) avec un 12+6.

Est-ce vrai ???

Hasek told Radio Impuls that the Czech and Slovak associations are currently carrying out an analysis of whether or not a reunited league is feasible from both an economic and a sporting point of view.

If it is, Hasek says his next step will be seeking the agreement of Czech first- and second-division clubs and finding strong economic partners for the project.
