Manchester United have made a new bid for Tottenham midfielder Michael Carrick.

The Daily Mail says United are reported to have made an amazing new bid, believed to be in the region of �20million, for Tottenham and England midfielder Carrick.

He is seen by Sir Alex Ferguson as a potential successor to Roy Keane, an impossible mantle to assume for the quiet Geordie.

The Old Trafford club have already had bids of around �10million and �15million rejected by Tottenham, but Spurs are unlikely to turn down a bid of that size for the star.

Charlton Athletic striker Darren Bent has once again been linked with a move to Tottenham Hotspur, with reports claiming that Spurs have failed with a bid.
The reports claim that Spurs have launched a bid of around £10million for the 22-year-old England international, and that the offer has been rejected out of hand by new Addicks boss Iain Dowie.
The reports would seem to be wide of the mark, as Spurs already have Jermain Defoe, Dimitar Berbatov and Robbie Keane vying for striking positions at White Hart Lane.
Indeed, it would also appear that any bid for the former Ipswich striker would have to be significantly higher than £10million to persuade Charlton to do business.

Liverpool and Newcastle United have also been linked with Bent, but no club has yet had a bid accepted.

Zokora je le connais pas super bien mais d'après ce que j'ai vu de lui, à la coupe du monde notamment, il a l'air quand meme plus offensif que Carrick. Enfin bref, entre Carrick et Zokora mon choix est très vite fait. Je vote Anglais et Carrick !

très bonne news concernant Bent, d'ailleurs cette piste me parait plus probable que celle de Zlatan !

Alors la tothenamtilide je vois pas comment tu pourra m'expliquer ca. Vous avez déja 3 attaquants de très haut calibres, Berbatov, Keane et Defoe et vous voulez recruter un autre poids lourd devant? Déja que Defoe joue pas assez a la hauteur de son talent a mon avis alors si en plus y'a Bent, ok y'a du turn over mais quand meme, je crois pas que Defoe et Bent (qui ont en point de mire l'euro ) se content de match de coupe ou de fin de match car je vois mal Keane pas titulaire(surtout vu sa saison de feu) ni Berbatov(2ème meilleur buteur de bundelsliga).

c'est clair que ca ferai un sacré contingent d'attaquant, je préfèrerait qu'ils investissent dans un transfert pour un milieu gauche genre Duff ou Downing, ou éventuellement acheter Davies (ce qui semble mal barré, j'ai lu qu'arsenal aurait fait une offre plus élevé que celle de tottenham).

Faudrait pouvoir garder Carrick aussi !

Le truc c'est qu'on a 3 attaquants de haut calibre, mais justement on a que trois attaquants ce qui est juste, admettons que l'un des 3 se blesse, un est expulsé, on est bien embetté... En plus je sens que Defoe va signer à Liverpool...

NAn mais dans ce cas la tu garde tes 3 attaquants et tu prend une pêtite pointure style Carlton Cole qui jouera pratiquement jamais, tu va pas prendre un international anglais dans le role de bouche trou.
