BRAKAMONTE: MOSKVA IS MY HOME CLUB
Argentinean recruit Ektor Brakamonte doesn’t hurry to return to his homeland.Leader of FC Moskva’s attacks is well-known player in the Russian championship after five years of playing in the Moscow club. Despite having a lot of tempting offers from other clubs, the Argentinean international decided to stay in Russia.
"Many teams wanted to see me in their squads", said Brakamonte to Sport Express. "Russian teams Terek, Lokomotiv, Kuban, several clubs from Ukraine, Mexico and Spanish leagues, as well as Argentinean Independiente, San Lorenzo, Banfield, which perform in Copa Libertadores, were interested in my services".
"However I don’t hurry to return to my homeland now. I am 31-year-old, I am young enough [laughs]. I feel comfortable in Moskva, because it’s my home club".
"I came to Russia, when Moskva suffered bad times. We saved the club’s reputation in the last games of the season and then grew with the team and paved our way to European football scene".
"I gave this club not only my professional skills, but my soul too, and that is why I like this club very much".
"I got used that in Argentina stadiums are full with supporters even at mot very important games. But I am professional and I always give my best no matter how many people came to the stadium to support us".
"The previous season was very difficult for Moskva. We changed the coach, lost several key players for the team such as Semak and Adamov. Change of three presidents and the staff didn’t promote good atmosphere in the club".
"We have already felt the different between our new head coach Miodrag Bozovic with his predecessor Oleg Blokhin, but players often get acquainted with new manager only during the championship".
"I always want to score as many goals as possible, but I will be more happy if my team wins all matches with 1-0 score, while these goals will be scored by other players".
